About Me

My name is Justin Tarte and I am a passionate educator with a love of learning and technology. I am married to my best friend, Gina (@gmv398), and we have a son, Emory (@emorytarte). We also have a yellow lab named Maddy (@maddytarte). Maddy will do anything for a puppy treat and she loves to give kisses.
I am the Executive Director of Human Resources and Learning Services in the Union R-XI School District. Prior to that, I was the Director of Teaching & Learning in Union, as well as the Principal and Assistant Principal at Poplar Bluff Junior High School in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Before that, I taught German at Seckman High School in the Fox C-6 School District in Arnold, Missouri.
I am excited about integrating technology and social media into the educational setting, while increasing collaboration & transparency among all stakeholders. My interests also include grading and assessment, STE(A)M, problem-based learning, #futureready schools, human resources, and all topics related to ensuring education is relevant and purposeful for our students.

Lastly, I've presented to educators all over the United States and would be happy to work with your school and/or district. Send me an email at justin.tarte@gmail.com to discuss this possibility.
